on Childhood's End

Its a book by Author C Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey), but 1953. You wouldn't know it, though, from most of the writing. I do highly recommend the book, it's an easy ready (though you wouldn't expect that, I guess), and the greater parts he gets humanity precisely right.

The details do make me laugh, though. The Microwave Oven, which he does predict, is called a "Radar Range." It's a logical enough name, although I like the one we stuck with better.
